About The Artists:

Creature Collective:

Creature Collective is a supergroup of Citizens’ Loft artists, an eclectic group of friends who create music together, while coming from an array of musical backgrounds individually. Coming from the Citizens’ Loft Community, every band member met as part of a production on “Collective’ the first album of the now defunct Chicago based group CTA Creature, which RocNation distributed. As an incarnation of a now defunct band, Creature Collective initially came together for one show only, to perform songs from the former’s album, but it went so well that the band released their debut live recording from that show, via Boston-based record label Citizens’ Loft, entitled “Last Show At The Mint LA,” and decided to continue creating together.

Bringing together multiple states & frameworks for improvisation, Creature Collective has been described as psychedelic rock, roots rock, and blues revival. Having been featured on the Chasing The Blues podcast & being tapped to open up for a late night Umphrey’s McGee member-led superjam, (the show that “Last Show At The Mint LA,” was recorded at), the band has already seen some great opportunities and looks forward to bringing their appreciation for music of all times with their unique modern perspective to the world with their next release.

Sonny Dayes:

Sonny Dayes (pronounced “sunny”) is an independent Pennsylvania native and Nashville-based emerging folk singer-songwriter with deep influences in indie rock and contemporary folk. He was born in Lancaster and graduated from Penn State in 2018. His happy, laid-back style sounds like Mac Demarco and Jack Johnson mixed with Fleet Foxes. When Sonny’s music career began to take off in early 2020, he left his engineering job to build a home studio and self-produce his first album, Enjoy the Rain. His message as an artist is that positivity is powerful. And as a lyricist, he communicates this message through personal stories that aim to make the listener smile. Sonny has also been previously featured as a session lead guitarist with Citizens Loft Records. He is currently signed with the same management as Hall & Oates, Huey Lewis & The News, Loverboy, and The Tubes. Sonny’s album Enjoy The Rain released in February and his new single “Sun Come Up” releases July 23rd, 2021. Both are available on all streaming or at
